Song of Solomon ~ Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder

We are beautiful to God even in our weakness:
1) First, our loveliness comes by receiving the gift of righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).
2) At our new birth, the Holy Spirit put a "yes" in our spirit to God (Psalm 51:12; Matt. 26:41).
3) Our beauty is related to God's emotional make up.  The very affections and passions in God's heart determine how He feels towards us.  God views things very differently than man does (I Samuel 16:7; Isaiah 55:7-9)
4) God sees us through the lens of eternal destiny.

Confessions of Song of Solomon 1 continued....I have three more confessions from the first chapter~ with each confession, I have bullet points to define what it means for me.  Get these in your language of prayer with the Lord; that these confessions would be the declarations of your heart:

• God sees:  my YES to Him; my weaknesses; my burdens; my struggles; my destiny; my future; my beauty; my desire to love Him
• God sees me through the lenses of eternity!
• I will celebrate the journey of loving God

• I will nurture my relationship with Jesus
• Lord, I will feed my heart~ let my heart be a seedbed of Your love that grows daily
• There is no greater calling on earth than the calling of intimacy
• I will nourish bridal love~ You are my 1st love; my highest priority!!!!!
• Catch for us the little foxes that try to ruin the vineyard~ Little foxes of:  anger, pride, selfishness, control, lust, unbelief, no fear of the Lord,  lying...

"Draw me away with you...let the King bring me into His chambers,"  SoS 1:4

• Lord, I want to be drawn away from the crowd~ free from distractions that would hinder love
• "Draw me" is a prayer of intimacy
• Whenever God draws us, He is taking us from something into something, from the natural to the spirit realm
• This is a cry to go from the outer court into the Holy of Holies
• Take me Lord where I cannot go on my own
• Put Your hand upon my heart
• This is the place where the "worker" becomes the "lover" (lovers will do anything for LOVE~ doesn't need a checklist)
