The Christian worldview is concerned with knowing the truth. When Jesus was standing beside Pilate before his crucifixion, Jesus said, “…the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me,” John 18:37. Pilate retorted, “What is truth?”
Truth is the correct account of reality, which comes from God. Truth is absolute, constant & true for everyone, everywhere, all the time! An important question to ask yourself is, Does my way at looking at the world correspond to the world as it is according to God in the Bible? What do you believe is true? What authority has shaped those beliefs? Paul gives us a strong reason for knowing Truth, “Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth,” Ephesians 4:14 (NLT). The Christian worldview explains six realities about TRUTH:
Let’s train our hearts to love God’s Word, trust God’s Word and live by God’s Word. We need the soul-gripping, life-shaping words of Scripture to develop a deep, lasting, and culture-transforming faith.
