In John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am THE way, THE truth and THE life. No one comes to the Father except through me." As we have been studying the Tabernacle of Moses (Exodus 25-40), we see the reality of this Scripture come to life in the curtains and veils of the Tabernacle. But the Lord has been speaking to these three realities over and over in my life. And the Lord is posing the question to me: In which section of the Tabernacle have you made your dwelling? I want to share what God has shown me about each of the sections of the Tabernacle and as you read, ask yourself the same question: In which section of the Tabernacle have you made your dwelling? We can choose to move from one section to the next... To enter the Tabernacle's outer court, one must enter through the curtain. This was the only way into the outer court...you couldn't go under or over the white linen curtains...you must enter from the 30 foot curtain woven of blue/scarlet and purple. Jesus is the Way to life eternal; He is the gate through we must enter. The first dimension of our relationship with the Lord begins here...the dimension of law. We are not to stay in this place....God is calling us to a deeper relationship. He pursues us to go beyond the outer court. However, this is where most in religion reside. They continually go back and forth between the altar of sacrifice (forgiveness of sins) and the basin of cleansing (power of God to cleanse us from all sin). They have their "ticket" to heaven and they move on with their life....Jesus has limited consequence in their world. These are the people who wonder how close they can come to sin without calling it "sin". The traditions of man and religious systems keep them bound. The second veil on the Tabernacle was much smaller and led to the Holy Place. We see the large 30 foot entrance at the outer court and now this veil into the Holy Place is 15 feet...This entrance leads us into a reality of who God is and who we are in Him. To pass through this curtain requires a commitment of time. The Golden Lampstand, Table of Showbread and the Golden Altar of Incense were in this inner court area. This was a place where the priests experienced a deeper fellowship with God. Those who walk in this dimension have been set free from judgement. They no longer walk in condemnation. They have been set free from traditions of men and religious systems that seek after position, prestige and power. The time invested in the inner court area of the Holy Place is the dimension of worship. All ministry done in this space is done away from human eyes. There is no recognition except God's. Intimacy with God is growing. In the light of the lampstand (anointing of the Holy Spirit) there is communing at the Table in fellowship and worship, prayer and intercession is a sweet fragrance before the Lord. The final veil in the Tabernacle separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place (this third area of the Tabernacle was the smallest and most restrictive). There was no entrance or "door" made to enter...the High Priest (only once a year) would move his way through this veil to enter this Sacred Space. It was in this space that God's Presence dwelt above the mercy seat between the cherubim....behind the veil. Only Moses had full access to the God of heaven and earth. This way has been made to us because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. As he willingly gave up his spirit, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom down the center, making a way for all to come to God. No more separation! No more barriers! We have full access to God, just like Moses~ to live our life speaking face to face with God. "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need," Hebrews 4:16. In the Most Holy Place life is centered on intimacy with God; committed to God no matter what; surrendering all to Him. Here, one's life is hidden in Christ~ total surrender in love in every area of life: finances, time, energy, schedule, career, relationships, education, thought life (mind), dreams, circumstances, etc. This is a relationship that can withstand any pressure from the inside or the outside. Life to the full happens here! This is the dimension of intimacy and this is what God calls each believer to. What a privilege we have to come to God! The need of this hour is for believers to be in the inner court as priests; to tarry before the Lord. God desires to visit you with Power ~ to convict, woo, love, proclaim, reconcile, make all things new, endue you with Power, and glorify Himself! Inner-court ministry is the key to all outer court ministry. Let His Presence and Power move through you to those in your circle of influence. To tarry in His Presence is a costly invest
